Categories Explained
CAT B - Heavy Damage/ Not repairable, broken for parts
CAT C - Repairable vehicles where insurer’s repair costs exceed the cars pre-accident value
CAT D - Repairable vehicles where insurer’s repair costs didn’t exceed the cars pre-accident value
CAT X - Stolen and recovered vehicles with minimal or no damage
CAT U - Vehicles owned by an insurance company, may have sustained damage, could be part ex or non-recorded
